Looking ahead, I’m excited to announce that I will be performing at the street music event "Ongaku Sanpo", set to take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 in Hannō!
What makes this event even more special is that this will be its very first edition!
This unique music festival will bring together various musicians, creating a day filled with diverse performances across multiple locations in the city.
I’m especially honored to be part of this event, as my dear friend and amazing trumpet player, Norihiko Iida, is in charge of the musical direction. He kindly invited me to join, and I couldn’t be more grateful!
📍 What is "Ongaku Sanpo"?
"Ongaku Sanpo" (meaning "Music Stroll") is a special street music event where you can enjoy live performances while strolling through the charming streets of Hannō.
Multiple stages will be set up across the city, featuring a variety of musicians performing different genres.
It’s like taking a musical walk, discovering incredible sounds at every turn!
🎷 A total of 13 groups will perform across four stages!
With such a great lineup, this event is sure to be an exciting celebration of music.
And the best part? It’s completely free!
Whether you’re a jazz enthusiast, a casual music lover, or just looking for a fun day out with friends and family, this event is for everyone!

🎻 My Performances at the Event
① Trio Performance with Mizuyo Kawamata (Jazz Violin) & Takumi Watanabe (Bass)
I’ve had the pleasure of playing with Mizuyo Kawamata in rehearsals and live shows, and I really want more people to experience the beauty of her jazz violin sound. That’s why I invited her to perform with me for this special occasion!
Jazz violin is not something you hear every day, so don’t miss this chance to experience its magic live!
Takumi Watanabe is a bassist I deeply trust.
Not only is he incredibly skilled, but he’s also well-experienced in street performances, making him a solid and dependable presence in this trio. (I’ll be counting on him a lot! 😂)
I’m really excited to see what kind of musical chemistry the three of us will create on stage!
② Performance with the Honey Syrup Big Band
We have prepared a setlist that even those unfamiliar with jazz can enjoy.
Expect the dynamic sound of a full big band, vibrant arrangements, and irresistible rhythms!
I guarantee you’ll find yourself tapping your feet and swaying to the music before you know it!
From young children to senior audiences, we aim to make this a joyful and inclusive musical experience for everyone.
