On March 9th at 2:00 PM, there will be a guitar live performance at Café Saino no Mori in Johnsontown!
This time, we have an exciting guitar duet performance featuring Italian guitarist Terenzio de Cristofaro. Let me introduce Terenzio with his profile:
Terenzio De Cristofaro is a jazz guitarist born on May 16, 1989, in Rome. In 2012, he collaborated with Roman singer Davide Palma to release his 1st album, "Blame it on my youth".
In 2013, he enrolled in the jazz guitar program at the Conservatorio di Latina, studying under Mauro Zazzarini, Andrea Beneventano, Elio Tatti, Marco Acquarelli, Antonio Iasevoli, and Umberto Fiorentino.
He graduated with top honors, scoring 110 out of 110 in 2017.
In 2018, he moved to Barcelona to pursue a Master's degree in Jazz at the Conservatorio Liceu. During his stay, he had the opportunity to collaborate with prominent musicians such as Jordy Bonell, Dani Perez, Bill Mchenry, Gonzalo del Val, among others.
After completing his studies in 2019, Terenzio decided to base himself in Barcelona. He has collaborated with various artists such as Luca Tondena, Ramiro Rosa, Guillermo Calliero, Nino Restuccia, Santi Colomer, Bill Mchery, Gonzalo del Val, Mauro Battisti.
In 2022, he released his 2nd album titled "Sunday in Barcelona". In 2023, Terenzio released his 3rd album, "Guitar Solo", produced by Francesco De Grazia and Arielle Krebs.
We plan to perform primarily the songs selected by Terenzio, many of which are not usually in my repertoire. So, I've been listening to recordings and copying some of the phrases to start learning the songs (laughs). Since it's Saturday afternoon, it should be a relatively easy live performance to attend. We also welcome questions related to Italy during the live event, so please feel free to drop by!
