onfirmed to Perform at the Kochikame Memorial Hall Opening Event on March 22, 2025!
This time, I was invited by trombonist Takashi Nishimura and will be performing as a member of Fried Banana Cabin! 🎶
"Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo", commonly known as Kochikame, is a manga series by Osamu Akimoto that was serialized for about 40 years, from 1976 to Issue 42 of 2016.
I’ve been reading it since I was in elementary school, so it’s truly an honor to be part of the opening ceremony for its memorial hall.
The Kochikame anime is also really fun to watch, and it’s currently available on Netflix, so if you’re interested, be sure to check it out!
On the day of the event, other musicians will also be performing, and there will be a talk show featuring Osamu Akimoto himself and comedians who are huge Kochikame fans!
