The other day, we had a jazz live performance at Cafe Crock in Hanno!

This time, I had the pleasure of performing with Mr. Haruhiko Iida, who, like me, has a deep love for old jazz. Mr. Iida is a rare musician in Japan, having started playing jazz trumpet in New Orleans. We first met a few months ago, and because of our similar backgrounds and interests, we quickly became good friends!

It was my first time performing in a duo with a trumpet, so there were some unfamiliar aspects, but I think we were able to improve with each piece we played. I still need to work on improving the quality of my accompaniment so that I can better support the soloist!

In the second half of the live performance, bassist Mr. Morohashi and a singer also joined in, which really enlivened the atmosphere♪. Cafe Crock hosts jazz live performances every month, so if you’re interested, I highly recommend you stop by! It’s a beautiful and serene café!
