Brief History
Born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1990, Takaaki Maeda began playing the guitar at the age of 15 under the influence of his father. To immerse himself in foreign music, he studied abroad in London at the age of 20.
During his time in England, Takaaki got to know Bucky Pizzarelli, who introduced him to jazz.
He began studying jazz and performed in bars and pubs throughout the UK.
Upon returning to Japan, he embarked on his career as a jazz guitarist and actively participated in various activities. These included vocal, violin, and wind instrument duets, as well as solo guitar performances at events in Tokyo and the Kanto region.
Takaaki was also involved in providing music for corporations and contributing guitar tracks. Deeply connected with musicians abroad, he collaborated with numerous artists both domestically and internationally.
Since 2019, he has been under the guidance of Hirofumi Asaba.
In 2022, Takaaki Maeda was featured as a player on the official website of American Archtop Guitars.
