Yesterday, I performed background jazz guitar at Valeo in Tanashi!
As an elegant Italian restaurant and bar, customers started arriving around 9 PM. Playing solo guitar for long periods can be challenging for maintaining focus, but I felt that the mistakes gradually reduced as the performance went on.
It was apparently the first time Valeo had solo guitar background music, but I received positive feedback from the customers and was fortunate to receive quite a few tips!
I personally enjoy tip-based performances because the satisfaction of the customers is so visible—it’s very direct (laughs).
This might be a personal opinion, but I feel that my guitar style really fits well with the atmosphere of the restaurant, so I’d love to keep performing here regularly!
The food and drinks at the restaurant are delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. If you're interested, I highly recommend you visit!
