We are delighted to announce that we will be holding a jazz live performance at the long-standing Old Earth venue, where we were graciously hosted last year!

Previously, I had the honor of serving as the session host during our performance, but this time, we are excited to present a full-fledged concert.
What's more, we have the pleasure of welcoming trombonist Kenji Nishimura from Tokyo to the forefront!

Kenji Nishimura, born in Hiroshima in 1984, began playing the trombone at the age of 11.
He encountered jazz while studying at Ehime University and, after about seven years of working in a corporate job after graduation, moved to Tokyo to enroll in the jazz program at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.

In 2017, his ensemble, the "Kenji Nishimura Sextet," won the Grand Prize at the 37th Asakusa Jazz Contest in the band category.
He is also a member of the prestigious Kenichi Tsunoda Big Band, one of the most renowned big bands in Japan. This will be his first performance in Miyakonojo City, so don't miss this opportunity!

In addition to Kenji, we are thrilled to have bassist Yota Sakamoto, who is active in Miyakonojo City, as well as the owner of the venue, Katsunari Koji, joining us as special guests.
With such talented musicians, it's sure to be an unforgettable evening. If you reside in Miyakonojo City and have an interest in jazz, please come and join us!

We have prepared some jazz standards that everyone will recognize, so we look forward to seeing you all there on the day of the event!
